So I guess the current info would be that at least on some machines, MediaInfo has to be uninstalled before a newer version is installed. That finally got rid of everything, so I could install v0.7.8. So finally I renamed the v0.7.78 DLLs back to their original names, re-installed v0.7.8 and selected "Ignore" during installation when the v0.7.78 DLLs couldn't be replaced, and then uninstalled v0.7.8 (actually with the v0.7.78 DLLs) once more. ![]() But they still couldn't be moved and/or deleted, even with Unlocker and even though MediaInfo was completely uninstalled. Next I tried uninstalling v0.7.8, which worked just fine, leaving only the renamed v0.7.78 DLLS in the folder. (I'm sure I could have deleted them if I had killed Explorer, or rebooted, or maybe the installation would have worked if I closed everything else and/or went into Safe mode to install, but as usual I had 40-50 windows open and killing Explorer and/or rebooting would have been a major hassle.) Oddly, I could rename the v0.7.78 DLLs (don't understand why Explorer allowed renaming but not moving or deleting) and then the new v0.7.8 DLLs would install, but I still couldn't unlock and move and/or delete the RENAMED v0.7.78 DLLs, even with Unlocker.
